Abstract

The dielectric properties of barium strontium titanate (Ba x Sr 1−x TiO 3 ) ceramics with x = 0.5, 0.65, 0.8 and 1.0 have been studied. The BST ceramics were fabricated using sol-gel derived powders followed by roll casting to form thick films with thickness of about 0.5 mm. The dielectric properties of the BST thick films have been measured as a function of frequency from 40 Hz to 100 MHz. The relative permittivity were measured using a parallel plate capacitor configuration. The measured dielectric properties were compared with values reported in the literature. Also, the microstructures of the BST ceramics have been studied.
