Abstract

This study presents experimental results of investigating dielectric properties of ferroelectric composite prepared from Rochelle salt and cellulose nanoparticles under a weak electric field of 1 V/cm from 5 to 55 °C. It was found that along with the upper phase transition coinciding with those for bulk Rochelle salt (24 °C) detected due to the presence of Rochelle salt volume part and clusters, the strong interaction at cellulose/Rochelle salt interfaces led to the appearance of an additional phase transition at higher temperature (47 °C). Correspondingly, two relaxation regions for Rochelle clusters and cellulose/Rochelle salt interfaces in the frequency range of 102–107 Hz were observed.
