Abstract

The analogy between the theory of superfluidity and the theory of dielectrics can be extended to account for some of the properties of rotons in dilute solutions of /sup 3/He in superfluid /sup 4/He. These include the normal fluid density ratio and the shifts in energy of roton excitations relative to those of pure /sup 4/He.
