Abstract
Abstract We present a dielectric study of the SC*-TGBA phase transition in two ferroelectric liquid crystals series. The general behaviour of this phase transition is found to be similar to this of the SA*-SC** phase transition. A relaxation process is detected in the TGBA phase and attributed to the electroclinic effect in the smectic blocks of this phase.
