Abstract

The dielectric constant of monoclinic Rb(H0.7D0.3)2PO4 was measured in a temperature range covering the ferrielectric phase transition temperature at various hydrostatic pressures below 0.45 GPa. All the dielectric constant showing a pronounced deviation from the Curie-Weiss law was analyzed successfully by the expression on the basis of the quasi-one-dimensional Ising model. The characteristic parameters Γ, B and ξ in the theoretical expression were estimated at various pressures for Rb(H0.7D0.3)2PO4. The pressure derivative of characteristic parameters dΓ/dp, dB/dp and dξ/dp were estimated to be −311 K/GPa, −0.4 K/GPa and −48 (GPa)−1, respectively.
