Abstract
One of the most difficult points of German grammar for students to master is adjective endings. We cannot expect the students to proceed too quickly to successful use of these endings in real communicative activities without adequate experience at the practice stage. The usual textbook approach of explanation followed by mechanical drill does not seem to lead to fluency or accuracy on this point. It is thus left to the skills of the instructor to devise remedies.
