Abstract

The emission spectrum of phonons in coupled quantum dots, as visible in transport experiments, is calculated. The tunnel process between the dots is dominated by an orthogonality catastrophe of the phonon bath. The resulting double-slit-like interference effect is analogous to subradiant emission of photons as seen in laser-trapped two-ion systems.
