Abstract
This paper summarizes the literature, stock and own data on the diversity, number and biomass of diatoms in the Beloyarskoe, Chernoistochinskoe and Nizhnetagilskoe reservoirs of the Sverdlovsk region (Middle Ural). The study of diatoms using electron microscopy made it possible to significantly supplement the data on the species composition of Bacillariophyta of reservoirs of the Sverdlovsk region. The general taxonomic list of the studied reservoirs includes 352 taxa of specific and intraspecific rank from 85 genera. The diatoms of the Nizhnetagilskoe reservoir are the most diverse (247 species).
