Abstract
The synthesis of the novel optically active macrocyclic host (+)- 1 incorporating an unnatural isoquinoline alkaloid as chiral building block is described. The formation of diastereomeric complexes between host (+)- 1 and (R) and (S)-naproxen in aqueous solution is observed by 1H NMR spectroscopy.
