Abstract

This paper describes a new method used for the detection of a Fabry-Perot interference fringe system. The interference rings obtained with CW or pulsed lasers are focused on a 1024 elements CCD linear sensor. With associated electronic, the numbers of the two or three first (in diameter) illuminated rings are digitally displayed in real time. With a 16 cm long FPI, the limit of resolution is at present, about 10 -4 cm -1 (30 MHz).
