Abstract
The results of theoretical and experimental studies of the method diagnosing mechanical automobile transmissions by changing the indicators of the unevenness the angular velocities of the driving and driven gear shafts within the kinematic cycle of their scrolling from the internal combustion engine are presented. The rationale is given for the selected diagnostic parameters for assessing the technical condition of the transmission elements, the mode of performing diagnostic operations and the necessary accuracy of the device for measuring instantaneous angular velocity values for the practical implementation of the proposed method.
