Abstract

This paper provides information on the presence, frequency of manifestation, diagnosis and treatment of postcoital cystitis in women. Cystitis is the most common disease of the urinary system in women and sexual activity is one of the most important factors in the genesis of inflammatory diseases of the lower urinary tract in women.

Introduction

The most common infectious and inflammatory disease of the urinary system in women is cystitis. Among the anatomical reasons that contribute to the development of cystitis in women in a sexually active period, the main place is occupied by vaginal ectopia of the external opening of the urethra and its hypermobility. The external opening of the urethra is located above its usual place - on the border with the entrance to the vagina.
