Introduction: The reliability of Fibroscan in the assessment of liver fibrosis is well established. The newer pSWE has been successfully applied in viral hepatitis and non-alcoholic liver disease. pSWE performance in PBC has been evaluated only once and a direct comparison with Fibroscan in PBC has never been investigated.
