Abstract
The development of new structural systems, materials, and technologies enables the design and the implementation of progressive buildings meeting the demanding criteria of users and architects. However, using the new design approaches implies a need for knowledge about the behavior of the materials used, including their manner of disruption. This issue is also related to existing structures, where damage and accidents also occur. One of the solutions is the advanced acoustic emission diagnostics. This paper deals with the specific role of the interaction between the concrete slab and the subsoil. The paper aims to present the identification of crack formation, where acoustic emission measurements are compared to other measurement methods. The presented spatial graphs are used to evaluate the measurement and to compare the acoustic emission.
