Sixty-five cases of breast cancer and 37 cases of benign breast disease were diagnosed microscopically. The sensitivity and specificity by this method were 83.1% and 78.4%, respectively. False negative cases included in early stage breast cancers. Thirty-one point six per cent of mastopathy cases showed false positive findings. One of two To breast cancer was correctly diagnosed by this thermography. In the future, contact thermography can be used for mass screening of breast cancer.
