Abstract
This month we present answers to some commonly asked questions about the diagnosis of the DSM-III personality disorders: their diagnosis in children and adolescents, the overlap among some of the categories, the approach taken in defining borderline personality disorder, the classification of personality disorders that are related to axis I disorders, and alternative approaches to diagnosis in this area.
