Abstract

s S117 of CSC conditioned media to recruit endogenous circulating angiogenic cells as compared to nonor SCR-transduced CSCs (total migrated cells 106 28 vs. 483 55 or 410 66 cells/5 hpf, respectively; p 0.05). CONCLUSION: Lentiviral mediated IL-6 knockdown successfully reduces the IL-6 content within conditioned media and transduction-itself did not impair CSC proliferation or angiogenesis/stem cell recruitment. IL-6 knockdown enhances angiogenesis while paradoxically worsening recruitment of endogenous stem cells. These intriguing results suggest that the most abundant cytokine produced by human CSCs may have a biphasic effect on myocardial repair and opens new avenues to enhance the next generation of CSC products. 073 DIABETES INHIBITS CARDIAC STEM CELL FUNCTION AND CELLMEDIATED CARDIAC REPAIR THROUGH HIGH GLUCOSEASSOCIATED EFFECTS ON PRO-ANGIOGENIC CAPACITY AS Molgat, N Latham, EL Tilokee, M Fitzpatrick, G Hay, R Seymour, B Vulesevic, K Lam, M Ruel, R Milne, EJ Suuronen, DR Davis
