Abstract

This method enables one to check angle gauges of types USh and UP of height up to 1600 mm and of various classes if appropriate means of measurement are available. For example, class 2 gauges should be checked on a surface plate of class 1 by means of a 2 MIG multiturn dial gauge mounted in an Sh-1 stand together with a ShP or ShD scale of class 0. Checks on gauges of class 1 should be made with a plate of class 0 by using a 1 IG geared lever head and a check rod. In all cases it is necessary to perform multiple independent observations (not fewer than three), with the mean taken as the result.
