Based on some methods, the level of formation of student’s motivation in the process of studying mathematics was revealed. The education of positive learning motivation is facilitated by the general atmosphere at the university, and the cooperative relationship between the teacher and the student. The obvious need for the teacher's help is not in the form of direct intervention in the performance of the task, but in the form of advice that prompts the student himself to make the right decision; involving the student in assessment activities and forming an adequate self-assessment.
