Abstract

This article introduces the special section of the Journal of Abnormal Psychology. This Special Section exemplifies what are arguably the most current iterations of developmental psychopathology, which involve an intensive focus on both molecular genetics and brain architecture-and their interactions with crucial environmental features and forces-for elucidating processes of individual development, or ontogenesis, toward psychopathology.
