Abstract

Future electricity needs in the country necessitate the development of renewable electricity sources, which is an issue that should be studied from now on for a variety of reasons (environmental, the reduction of fossil sources, economic, etc.). The potential of utilizing renewable energy in our country, as in other industrialized countries, is also quite important, and the development of using renewable energy can play an essential part in enhancing the security level of the country's energy system. The government has done the necessary planning in the fifth development plan, and the development of these energies in our country will be inevitable in light of global policies in an effort to solve problems and create employment; however, proper policies for the development of electricity production and use are required to accomplish this goal. Renewable sources of energy should be used in the long run. Renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, have seen their prices drop drastically over the past two decades. Renewable energy sources are competitive with fossil fuel technologies on the most common criterion used to analyze the relative competitiveness of various power generation technologies, the levelized cost of electricity. However, there is no consensus because countries and technologies handle this issue in a variety of ways. The cost of various power generation methods can be affected by a variety of factors. In terms of cost and reliability, renewable energy sources are on par with fossil fuels over the last two decades. This article compares renewable energy to traditional fossil fuels in the electrical industry and assesses the market competitiveness between the two. The study's overarching objective is to examine various economic indicators and to implement a clean energy system. This study also analyses indicators and achievements in renewable energy and fossil electricity to provide a comprehensive overview and data-driven investigation.
