Abstract

The article deals with the analysis of current trends in the development of livestock breeding and the paths of the development of technical means for mechanization and automation of processes in this industry ensuring maximum realization of the genetic potential of animals. Attention is drawn to the phenotypic indicators of the unlocking the genetic potential of cattle, reflecting the important contribution of the genotype and environmental factors. The main technical and technological areas for mechanization and automation of the processes in livestock breeding are identified.
