Abstract

Committee 344 was established in 1961 with a mission that included nuclear containment structures. However, early in the assignment, the mission was changed to read as follows: Develop a recommended practice for design and construction of circular prestressed-concrete structures such as water-containing structures and bulk storage structures. Particular attention shall be given to the protection of prestressing wire from corrosion.
