The main legal acts, intended to regulate the issues of land ownership and territorial organization and creating conditions for the development of the land market, are shown. The analysis of the results of the land reform shows that its main result has been the formation of land relations, which are oriented to market conditions. The most important element of the new land system in the republic is the payment for the land use, the formation and functioning of the land turnover. The purpose of the study is to assess the progress of the land reform, as well as to improve the methods for assessing agricultural land.
