Abstract
The article studies the issue of grain drying and its importance in agriculture. Various methods of grain drying are considered, analyzed to determine their effectiveness and applicability. There is a risk of problems associated with improper drying of grain and negative consequences for the safety of grain and its further processing. For timely and qualitative cleaning and drying of grain an innovative design is offered - mobile air-screw dryer for grain. This device cleans grain from light weed impurities by means of air flow and removes surface moisture from grain by blowing it with heated air flow. The paper describes in detail the design and principle of operation of the dryer. The results of preliminary experiments confirming the performance of the dryer are given.
