Abstract

This work describes the experience of a teacher training course about Scratch, a programming tool that has been used in the pedagogical context. Scratch allows teachers and students be able to develop learning objects as a way to systematize the content of classes. When used by teachers enables the development of their own learning objects, making their classes more attractive and motivating. In addition to these advantages, we show how the use of the tool by students provides other advantages such as: development of logical thinking, team work and programming, which are pointed by many researchers as the skills required for many jobs today. The teacher training course was performed by semipresential way, using the resources of distance education so participants were able to adapt their working hours. Thus, this approach can be replicated in other places and educational contexts.
