Abstract
The article discusses the theoretical and methodological foundations of the development of communicative competence of University students. The authors believe that the development of communicative competence of future teachers should be systematic and carried out throughout the entire period of study at the University on the basis of the pedagogical approach «learning through dialogue». The results of an experimental study are presented, on the basis of which the authors formulate conclusions and recommendations
