Abstract

Social reticence during early childhood predicts the development of anxiety disorders, typically emerging during adolescence. Not all socially reticent children develop anxiety; thus, it is essential to determine which factors moderate this relation. Here, we focused on the neurodevelopmental processes underlying threat bias as a potential moderator.
