Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) has researched and developed an 8K ultrahigh-definition television (UHDTV) wireless camera using millimeter waves that can transmit an 8K signal with low latency and high quality. We have prototyped a compact transmitter using the 42-GHz band and developed an 8K UHDTV wireless camera by combining this transmitter with a portable 8K UHDTV video encoder. In this study, we introduce a prototype 8K UHDTV wireless camera system using millimeter waves and report the results of laboratory and field wireless transmission experiments</i> .
