Abstract

The development of a system of green spaces in small historical cities is considered on the example of the city of Chistopol. Based on urban planning analysis, the features of the city’s green infrastructure were identified, and the specifics of its functional planning and landscaping were determined. The characteristic techniques employed in arranging the components of the system of green spaces are highlighted. The result of the study is a functional planning model for development of landscaping infrastructure, which was tested in the central part of Chistopol.
