Abstract

Experiments performed in a Mach 6 high Reynolds number facility were at a lower stagnation temperature of 556 K and higher stagnation prressures of 2.01 and 4.83 MPa. Density profiles, for a select location on a 8-deg half-angle blunt nose cone, obtained by Rayleigh scatter measurements were compared to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) results.
