Abstract
Fluidic pump which works without moving part including the driving part was developed in this study. This pump is driven by single bistable fluidic element. Two water columns are connected to RFD as a part of the pump and to the fluidic element as a part of the driver. Two water columns are alternately pressured by the self-oscillation of the bistable element so that the pumping is done. Therefore the bistable element has two roles which are the oscillator and the driver. By investigating the characteristics of the bistable elements and the RFD, it became possible to explicate the influences of the bistable element and the RFD on the overall efficiency. Furthermore, if the static characteristics of the bistable fluidic element were obtained, the mean flow rate of the pump and the oscillation can be predicted.
