Abstract

Purpose: Pediatric cardiology requires a clear understanding of how cardiovascular structure and physiology guide therapeutic decisions. Pediatric residents have limited exposure to pediatric cardiology during training, and outside of standard clinical oversight, there is a paucity of methods available for assessing trainee knowledge despite the need for trainees to recognize and properly refer these patients in a general pediatric setting after graduation.
