Abstract

Through the ANSYS finite element simulation software, the structure of piezoelectric composite 5-element transducer array was designed. The 1–3 piezoelectric composite 5-element transducer array was prepared by cutting-perfusion-coated electrode-secondary cutting process. The 5-element transducer Array was fabricated by assembling and sealing. After testing, the transmission voltage response of the piezoelectric composite transducer array is up to 167.3 dB, the −3 dB bandwidth reaches 65 kHz; the maximum receiving sensitivity reaches −183.0 dB, the −3 dB bandwidth reaches 50 kHz.At the same time, A 5-element transducer array with the same size was fabricated by using pure piezoelectric ceramic PZT-5.By comparison, it can be seen that the transducer made with the 1–3 type piezoelectric composite material has larger transmission voltage response and receiving sensitivity than the pure piezoelectric ceramic transducer, with small in-band undulation and high flatness.
