Abstract

Abstract. Problem. The article examines issues related to improving the mechanisms of movement for technological machines, such as crane and excavator crawlers. Goal. Based on the analysis of existing studies on the designs of tracked and walking mechanisms, the main directions for their improvement are established and a research methodology is developed, which includes theoretical studies using mathematical models, allowing to substantiate the parameters and design of support elements for the mechanisms and to find ways to improve them. Methodology. For tracked mechanisms, loads on support elements (tracks) are substantiated, and directions for increasing their strength are established. Results. For walking mechanisms of cranes, the design of the support ski surface with additional elements in the form of chevron teeth is substantiated, which increases the coefficient of friction between the ski and the ground. Originality. As a result of the research conducted according to the proposed methodology, ways to increase the strength of tracked links and a design for the ski-ground coupling are found. Practical value. Recommendations are developed for enterprises that operate and produce tracked and walking mechanisms.
