Abstract

In this work, utilization of Bounded Sum (BS) as an aggregation operator has been explored in the modeling of the simplest fuzzy two-term (PI/PD) controllers. Analytical structures of eight distinct fuzzy two-term controllers utilizing Larsen Product (LP) or Mamdani Minimum (MM) inference and Center of Area (CoA) defuzzification have been derived. In addition to modeling, analysis of controllers for their properties is conducted. Simulation studies are carried out on two nonlinear dynamic systems to show the effectiveness of the controllers proposed in this work. Apart from this, a real-time experimentation has also been conducted to test the applicability of the proposed controllers.
