Abstract

With the large-scale construction of natural gas pipeline, the pressure level has been increasing, even reaching the range of three types of pressure vessels. Once there is an explosion, the damage is enormous. Therefore, higher and higher requirements are put forward for the accuracy and speed of pipeline damage detection. In order to improve the detection accuracy and speed of pipeline, a method of ultrasonic ring guided wave detection with air coupling excitation is proposed. In order to facilitate the realization of intelligent internal detection of gas pipelines, we designed an optimized linear focusing high-sensitivity air coupling sensor, studied it from both numerical simulation and experiment, and designed an internal detection system of gas pipelines, providing a theoretical basis for the development of ultrasonic internal detection technology of gas pipelines. The results show that the signal-to-noise ratio of the optimized linear focusing air-coupled ultrasonic sensor is improved.
