Abstract

The urgency of the problem lies in increase of requirements for the quality of modern education, necessitating the increase of efficiency of the process of professional training in higher educational institutions. Due to the fact that the key to successful academic and future professional activity is personal and volitional quality, which we tried to consider by involving students in physical culture as one of the priority means of their development. The purpose of the article is the formation of personal and volitional qualities of students necessary in future professional activities. Methods research: empirical methods: observation, questioning, questioning, practical tests used to define the development of students' basic qualities in the process of physical education. The questionnaire, offered to students, allows us to determine the degree of formation in students of the volitional component theoretically, and practical tests show the results of the formation of these qualities. Results of research: the work carried out on the evaluation of the formation of volitional and personal qualities allows us to conclude that the volitional component is not sufficiently developed, as well as the lack of understanding among students of the benefits of physical education to optimize the physical and psycho-physiological state of students necessary for future professional activities. It is advisable to recommend the following means and methods of professional-applied physical training: a) gymnastics; b) sports games: volleyball; basketball; c) athletics; d) mobile games.
