Abstract
This paper aims to introduce a project in collaboration with Educational Technologies General Directorate of Ministry of National Education (MoNE) and Computer Education and Instructional Technologies (CEIT) Department of Ege University which was funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). The project aims to design a virtual chemistry lab compatible with the new chemistry curriculum of secondary schools in Turkey. The virtual lab (SANLAB) will include learning activities based on active learning method and in which secondary school students can make experiments interactively in computer environment. For designing the SANLAB, 30 volunteer chemistry teachers and 70 senior students of Ege CEIT will work collaboratively.
