Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to apply change management principles as developed by Kübler-Ross and Kotter and combine them with Tuckman’s team development model to build a strategic proactive supply chain team. We will explore various tools, techniques and communication plans to form an organisational structure that supports early supply chain interaction in regard to design engineering and even as far up the chain as business capture. Supply chain, at its best, can help gain competitive advantage in terms of long-range planning and preparation. We need to be knowledgeable about ever-changing laws and regulations and develop strategic supply partners, while facing increased cost and schedule pressure to remain competitive in a global market.
