Abstract
Abstract : The purpose of this strategy research project was to define strategic leadership, to describe spiritual leadership, and to develop a model of strategic-spiritual leadership for the U.S. Army Chaplaincy. The methodology of this study was to conduct a case study of the Apostle Paul. This involved examining the primary traits of strategic leaders and identifying the essential qualities of spiritual leaders. The study compared these two paradigms of leadership as a basis for constructing a new model of leadership. The project concludes by proposing that Paul, an ancient apostle in the first century, is a practical model for strategic-spiritual leadership in the twenty-first century. Based on the correlations between strategic leadership and spiritual leadership, the study suggests a combined strategy of strategic-spiritual leadership.
