Developing a softening technology for confined groundwater used for the potable water supply in Kondratovo, the Perm Krai

Abstract

The problem of providing water of drinking quality to small settlements today does not lose its relevance. This article discusses the existing methods of preparing water from a borehole water intake, surveyed part of the centralized system of the settlement, the intended purpose of the extracted groundwater is the household and drinking water supply of the village of Kondratovo, and based on the results of a survey of the technical condition of the centralized water supply system of the village and the water quality of the existing underground source, a technology has been developed for softening water from artesian wells, which ensures that the quality of drinking water complies with the centralized water supply system. Water quality studies were carried out in an accredited testing laboratory center of the Western branch of the FBUZ “Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Perm Territory”. The results of this work increase the reliability of supplying consumers with drinking-quality water and can be applied in assessing investments in engineering infrastructure facilities and developing an investment program.
