Abstract
Deuterium thermodesorption spectra (TDS) after D + ion implantation in W are analysed. Spectra are characterized by four peaks. At high temperature and low ion fluence the spectra consist of only one peak. The features of the single peak spectra are analysed using the desorption equation. The spectra have the features of both single and second order desorption : the peak is asymmetric (as for the first order) but the maximum temperature depends on the initial concentration (as for the second order). The linearization of the peak gives an order of desorption of K = 1.5 and an activation energy of E = 0.9 eV. The intermediate 1 < K < 2 reflects the complex character of deuterium evolution (detrapping from defects, diffusion, desorption).
