Abstract

Results of theoretical studies aimed at determining the flexural stress factor in toothed gears taking into account the contact pressure concentration due to elastic deformations and errors in manufacture and assembly of gearing elements are presented. Universal formulas for the flexural stress concentration factor in gear teeth are obtained. These formulas make it possible to calculate flexural stresses in gear teeth and toothed couplings. Diagrams of variations in the flexural stress concentration factor over the tooth length in the presence of misalignment are plotted.
