Abstract

This article discusses the application of topological optimization methods in the design of the impeller housing using the ANSYS software package. The transition from a two-disk to a single-disk scheme of the fan impeller is considered. When optimizing the impeller, the minimum compliance is used as the objective function, and the change in the internal structural volume is taken as the optimization parameter, with restrictions on the external geometry of the impeller.
