Abstract
This analysis is based on data from neutrino and antineutrino scattering on hydrogen and deuterium, obtained with BEBC in the (anti) neutrino wideband beam of the CERN SPS. The parton momentum distributions in the proton and the proton structure functions are determined in the range 0.01<x<0.7 and 2 GeV2 <Q 2<100 GeV2 by fitting suitable parametrisations to the experimentalx−y−Q 2-distributions. The QCD predictions are taken into account using the Altarelli-Parisi equations, with a resulting scale parameter $$\Lambda = \left( {192 \pm 40(stat.) \pm {}_{108}^{222} (syst.)} \right)MeV.$$
