Abstract

Using numerical methods, the problem of determining the limiting state of a metal shell under thermomechanical loading and taking into account contact with an aggressive hydrogen-containing medium is solved. The acting stresses are determined by solving a nonlinear boundary value problem for a shell of revolution. The method is demonstrated on a construction - a muffle designed for high-temperature annealing of electrolytic steel in bell-type furnaces.
