Determination of the energies of bonds of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms of organic molecules with copper by a kinetic method

Abstract

From the activation energies of the dehydrogenation of tetralin and isopropanol and the dehydration of tertiary butanol we determined the energies of the bonds of hydrogen, carbon, and oxygen with copper and showed that these values change in the order QH-Cu > QO-Cu > QC-Cu.
