Abstract
Abstract The relative molecular mass and distribution of methyl vinyl silicone rubber were determined by gel chromatography. The method was studied for single detector. The analytical conditions were established as follows: tetrahydrofuran as mobile phase, two PLgel MIXED-B columns in series, column temperature of 40 °C, and flow rate of 1 mL/min. The relative molecular mass of polystyrene standard substance was determined by this method. The relative standard deviation of the measured values was less than 3% (n=6), the relative error of the number average relative molecular mass was less than 10%, and the absolute value of the relative error of the weight average relative molecular mass was less than 1%.
