Abstract

Two HPLC methods have been developed for trace analysis of phenoxy acid herbicides in the range of 1 ppm - 1 ppb resp. 1 ppb - 20 ppt using spiked water samples. The sample preparation consists in liquid-liquid extraction followed by on line enrichment respectively solid phase preconcentration and on line enrichment. The phenoxy acids have been eluted from the enrichment column to the analytical column by means of a switching valve system. The detection was carried out by UV at 280 and 230 nm.
